Thin film linings: efficiency and protection
High performance epoxy and novolac linings, applied thin and smooth inside casings and on impellers, do two jobs: block corrosion in aggressive media, per the chemistry boundaries from our phenolic guide, and improve hydraulic efficiency, smooth surfaces measurably reduce friction losses in pumps, a quiet energy saving that repeat operators specify deliberately. Preparation inside castings follows tank logic scaled down: blast, salt limits, DFT control on complex geometry, and cure verified before assembly.
Rebuild composites: bringing metal back
Where erosion, corrosion or cavitation has eaten material, ceramic and metal filled epoxy compounds rebuild profiles: wear plates recreated, cavitation scars filled, casings brought back to clearance. Choosing between them, and when neither
Sound metal wanting protection or efficiency: thin film lining. Lost metal, local damage, clearance restoration: rebuild compound, then usually a thin film over it for the combined answer. Cracked castings and pressure boundary damage: neither, that is welding or replacement territory, and honest suppliers say so.
