Interzinc 52 E is a zinc rich epoxy primer that provides galvanic corrosion protection of steel as the base coat of high performance systems.
Zinc rich primers work by galvanic action: the zinc in the film corrodes sacrificially and protects the steel beneath, even at scratches and damage. They form the first coat of the most durable anticorrosive systems and are overcoated with epoxy and polyurethane build and finish coats.
