Interzinc 52 is a two component zinc rich epoxy primer containing 80 percent zinc in the dry film and meeting SSPC Paint 20 Level 2, for maximum galvanic protection of steel.
Zinc rich primers work by galvanic action: the zinc in the film corrodes sacrificially and protects the steel beneath, even at scratches and damage. They form the first coat of the most durable anticorrosive systems and are overcoated with epoxy and polyurethane build and finish coats.
